The Professional # 2

It can be difficult sometimes deciding who in the crop circle world is more deluded as to their own ability and importance, Dene Hine or Dan Davies. Though historically Hine has always come out on top Davies has been giving him a run for his money of late. In that regard a couple of Davies’ posts caught my eye.

Have you always lied so effortlessly Dan, or has hanging around Dene for so long rubbed off on you? Just about every sentence in this post is bullshit. Let’s unpick it.

‘A few here an [sic.] there’? Davies has done exactly one commission, the razor from 2023. It took his team two days in daylight and is an absolute dog’s dinner.

‘I sell my geometric art an [sic.] starting to make good money.’ Davies does not sell art, ‘geometric’ or otherwise. Who would want to buy anything from the maker of this?

‘8 to 10 hours work’ is twice as long as it took for 99% of the crop circles that have appeared over the last 40-odd years, their having been done covertly in a single night. It is far from an achievement.

‘Its [sic.] in the many thousands’? I know precisely how much Davies has earned from crop circles (though don’t ask me how). It is a very long way from the figure he would have you believe.

To give Davies his due he can be an able designer, as the second post that caught my eye shows.

The thing is, it’s all well and good drawing this stuff, but he’ll never make any of it. Not a single one. He’s utterly incapable. There’s a gulf as wide as the Grand Canyon between his designs and his field abilities. All he can do is wank off into a sketch pad.

Lest the reader need a further reminder, here are some more examples of Davies’ skill level.

Keep it up, Dan. You’re the gift that keeps on giving, and I hear from my sources that you’ve become as much a figure of ridicule behind the scenes in croppiedom as the mighty Dene Hine. We wouldn’t want to let the fans down would we? You’re a professional now after all.
